Very lively place with very good upscale Mexican dishes.

I've been here many times. I feel the prices are a bit high. But the food is great. Intimate setting as the lights are low. The big tree in the middle of the restaurant is a nice touch. Definitely like to stop in for a drink if I'm at the spectrum at minimum. I apologise for the poor photo, but the Jalapeno Margarita was delicious!

My husband and I went here because we had seen it featured in a magazine article and we love Mexican food. We went casual because it was in a mall, but immediately noticed that as an evening date you could easily come dressed. Chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. When we saw the menu there was a bit of a sticker shock, not what we expected, but when the food came it was well worth it. My husband's favorite is Chile Verde so he ordered that. The chunks of pork were huge! The sauce was also tangy the way he likes it. I ordered the beef enchilada, chicken tamal, and beef taco. The enchilada was the best of the three, but the green sauce on the tamal was a close second. There was enough food for both of us to bring home seconds. Service was also excellent. They filled up my ice tea at least 4 times without me ever having to ask or really notice. Would definitely come again for dinner and try some of their pricier dishes!

This was the first I've been to the Irvine Spectrum location. It was nice, the food is really good. I had the enchiladas vegetales, so delicious! Chips and salsa with a side of guacamole. Cucumber virgin Margarita. All good!♥️👍👍

Upscale inspired Mexican food located on the North side of Irvine spectrum. I'm ambivalent about this place because the food is decent, drinks are so-so, service is good, but the prices are incredibly expensive for Mexican. I'm sure this place uses high quality ingredients. The ambiance is casual and chill, save for that fact of drunken table next to us drowning themselves in margaritas. I would come here more often, if I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg for dinner with decent Mexican food.

My wife and I went to this restaurant because it's our anniversary. The place was perfect for the celebration. Besides, one of the staff that I requested to sing in front of my wife did his part well. The foods and wine were delicious and tasty. Honestly, we greatly enjoyed our day with your restaurant. It was perfect!

Javier's is my wife's favorite Mexican restaurant. We just don't see the value anymore. The food is great and the staff and ambience is great. But they have become over priced especially since the proportions have gotten smaller. We used to come to the Irvine and Newport locations at least 3 to 4 times a month. Im not sure we will be that frequent of customers.

Love this Javiers - super chill vibe and great waitresses in the bar area. The food is always on point and the drinks are always strong :!

It seems like a happening place. It was crowded and the price for a spirit was what one would expect from a bar. I didn't get any real food but the chips were good.I was at a speed dating event which had coordinated with the venue. I didn't get a date but I still had a decent time. I don't know what Javier's could have done to compensate for my failing love life but until they do I'm only giving them 4 stars.

We visited Javier's for the first time. The service and food was amazing. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Chips and salsa were so good. Saw some taquitos go by and had to try, yum! Hubby had Enchiladas Poblanos and they were delicious. I had cheese enchilada and pork tamale, so yummy. Although we were full, we finished the meal with churros and vanilla ice cream. We were not disappointed with our selection. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.

The food, drinks and service was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating of ou large party with four kids. The meal tasted great. The dishes are on the pricey side

Great ambiance, great customer service, great food. What more can you ask for. This restaurant provides everything you need to have a fun and memorable experience. I will definitely be back and bring others to experience this nice establishment. Our waitress Ofelia was as good as it can get!

Made a private dinning reservation for our office party of about 20 guests in The Marcos Room. Pros: The Staff and service was very good and things were served in a friendly and timely manner, the manager accommodated my requests and helped us secure the reservation, big thumbs up Cons: The Marcos Room is very dark and I wish I knew that prior as it was difficult to even see ones plate and the guests at the table, the room is open and near other party rooms and unfortunately the guests in the other room were very loudly shouting and very drunk (I know it’s not the restaurants fault, but I wish they told them to tone it down a bit), The food and prices were ok (I was expecting more given all the hype from friends who eat there). I can see the appeal given the atmosphere and food options but it didn’t appeal much to me.

Extraordinary ambience and super attentive service. The food was crisp and delightful. Will clearly recommend this spot to anyone. Convenient rates and big meals. Great job.

Definitely recommend the dungeoness crab. The enchiladas trio was good, but one of them is shrimp only and I think the shrimp+crab enchiladas are much stronger.

Lovely place, excellent service and atmosphere. Ultimate taste of Mexican. Ordered Enchiladas & Quesadilla with vegetables, veg. Fajita. One of the best options for Vegetarians.

Not impressive at all. The guacamole seemed like bag guacamole from Sysco. Not a vegan friendly restaurant either. No one in the waitstaff knows if the vegetables, rice, or beans are vegan friendly. My options was a soft taco with black beans and lettuce. Let’s just say it was not fulfilling at all.

The chips and salsa are 5 stars. The rest of the food is really good but our server was not the best. Not sure if I agree with how much they charge for some of the items, especially the enchiladas but overall if you are looking for some good consistent Mexican food you can count on Javiers.

I like this spot! They have marvelous dishes, they have a rich menu, The cook in that restaurant is very trained, I love a lot eating all their dishes. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the guests is agreeable. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was discontended. I highly recommend it.

I was brought here by a friend who is vegan and she was telling me how wonderful the place is. She was right. I ordered the vegetable enchiladas and they were absolutely delicious. The wait staff is wonderful and very attentive. I know it's a big chain now but it still feels like a family-owned restaurant. Congratulations for not losing your charm.

As expected, very solid fare at fairly high prices. Adding things like Lobster and Crab to mexican food really does give it the "this is 'this' part of Orange County' feeling. Had the lobster enchilada and shrimp taco. To be honest the shrimp taco was better than the enchilada. I'll be back again if there's a special occasion or if I need to eat somewhere for work.

We go here often and have business meetings outside. Great food and great service. Only reason its gets 4 stars is because now valet is across the street. Might sound petty, however this is the main reason we started going there 8 yrs ago

The restaurant also has a great ambiance and it's not too loud, making it a great place to have good conversation. Come here for incredible Loatian food! Bring your parents, your dates, and your friends!

First time here and the decor alone is eye candy and intoxicating! It's dark and alluring. The pomegranate margaritas are not only a playground for your taste buds but it's presentation is absolutely sexy. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. They were knowledgable and provided wonderful recommendations on the vast cocktail menus....hence the pomegranate margaritas. My apologies in advance for not taking a picture for y'all. Next time possibly when I am not so wrapped up in my first experience. Highly recommend this place whenever you are at the Spectrum. Hands down...no doubt the 10 tens places on South OC.

Always a good meal at Javiars wirh great drinks to boot. Had the chicken fajitas and chicken taquitos both really good and definitely something I recommend you try!

Had dinner about 6:00 on a Saturday night. Extremely busy. Put our name in for a table; however found a table in the bar area outside (open seating). Actually, the waitress informed us a couple was leaving which would free up a table. She got an extra tip for finding us a table!!! We ordered from the bar menu which has a lot more appetizers than the dinner menu. Food was great but a little pricey. My margarita (silver tequila with chambord) wasn't anything to rave about. To summarize- service is fantastic, food quality - good, price - expensive, ambiance - perfect, restrooms - very clean (women's restroom had a service person. I left my wallet at the table so I didn't tip). I always recommend Javier's to my out-of-town guests.

I eat here a lot since I work nearby. I got to say their customer service is always excellent and they keep the spot clean regularly. Prices are fair and they serve generous portions.

I had the arrachera steak and it was delicious. My friend had the spinach enchiladas. They were good, but I felt they were missing a little bit of flavor or some type of spice.

Great place to relax and enjoy Mexican Food.

I have been to Javier before and it was great. This time around, the service was good, but the food was less than expected. There was so much salt in the food to the point that you can barely taste anything else. We were in a hurry, so we didn't complain or want to wait. Hopefully it's better next time!

Love this classic, classy restaurant with reliable food and excellent service. High-end California Mexican fare served in a lovely dining room. Plenty of favorite dishes including tacos, enchiladas, seafood and meat. They will also go out of the way to accommodate requests. Try the vegan mushroom tacos, they are amazing! Ask for them, they are not on the menu. Super family-friendly place, too.

I was a little disappointed in the food. I really enjoyed the girl time more than the food. Taquitos we're not what I was savoring not had in mind. The meat was a bit too dry not chewable. The ambiance was great but expected better set up. Being that it was Valentine's Day ❤️ it could be they were over busy and couldn't cater to each table. All in all the ladies company was amazing, great conversation, and lots a great memories for a beginning chapter I my daughters life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Came to town to visit a friend and we decided on Javier's. Super glad we did! It was around 10-11 pm on a Saturday, so plenty seating at that point. I ended up getting the "Pescado Del Dia". The salmon was seared to perfection with the right amount of crunch to the outside layer with a tender, moist, and succulent inside... delicious!! It came with nicely seasoned sauteed vegetables, capers, and sat on a bed of puré de papas( resembles mash potatoes). Overall fantastic meal!! The staff was very prompt and attentive 🙏🏼 Thankyou!! Will be back!!!👌

If you're looking for an upscale place and love amazing Mexican cuisine, then Javier's is the place to go. Great ambiance, great food, great experience.
